Online Storefront, A Family Print Shop, Preserves Moments In Time

Something about a certain chill in the air makes us gravitate to our homes, comfy settings and most importantly, each other. As the leaves change, and the trees turn bare, the world begins to settle into a season ahead that is full of special moments, family gatherings and beautiful memories.

It’s important to remind loved ones how important they are to you during these moments by finding ways to preserve these special bonds and moments in time. The online store, A Family Print Shop specializes in timeless and hand-drawn custom portraits, heirloom jewelry and more to capture the silhouettes of your loved ones.

Before owner Quincy Cutrona became the current owner of A Family Print Shop, she was once an adorning customer of the brand and fell in love with the product. Cutrona and her husband bought the company as the previous owner decided it was time to close the shop. With a leap of faith and devotion to the product line and message, Cutrona entered the world of business.

As an owner of an online shop, Cutrona has found that being a business owner has allowed her to have a new sense of freedom with her family.

“Our shop is all about cherishing the moments with loved ones. Creating keepsakes of loved ones, things you’ll look back on with fondness,” she said.

Alongside offering valuable gifts to customers, owning her own business gives Cutrona the flexibility to be a mom and an entrepreneur at the same time.

One of the slogans we have for the shop is, ‘cherish the years,” she said. “Being a business owner, I am able to do that. Take a day to go to the zoo with my boys, work from home, make my own schedule. I am able to soak in all the moments of my family while still having a career.”

According to statistics compiled by Incfile, 42% of all U.S. businesses are owned by women with that figure increasing year after year. No matter what the stakes are, being a business owner is no small feat. With Cutrona’s devotion, passion and positivity, A Family Print Shop is clearly in good hands.

As an online shop, customers can choose from a number of gorgeous products like classic lockets, bracelets, keychains, ornaments, prints and more to frame a loved one’s silhouette.

The silhouettes we create freeze a moment in time. We know moments are fleeting and cherish the collections we are able to curate in our shop,” Cutrona explained.

These products are intended to remind customers of those special moments of laughter, joy and happiness when they see these beautifully crafted silhouettes. A Family Print Shop also creates Remembrance Pieces to bring comfort to those who have lost loved ones.

“We want people to feel like they have the people they love closest to them when they display their portraits or wear their jewelry,” Cutrona said.

This intentionally lies in the way these intricate silhouettes come to life. Each illustration is hand-drawn by Catherine Masters.

There are many people out there who draw silhouettes, but none like ours. They stand out for their detail and elegance. Masters takes her time, and really captures every detail,” Cutrona said. As a small custom shop, every order is catered to with thoughtful detail and customers receive hands on attention.

Cutrona explained, “After placing an order on our site, customers have 72 hours to send us a profile picture that they’d like us to use as a guide for their silhouette. As soon as we receive the photo, we put it in our schedule to draw and send a proof when it is finished. From there, we can use that drawing to make prints, jewelry and ornaments.”

This beautiful collection is perfect for the holiday season ahead, Valentine’s Day, birthday presents and quite literally any occasion under the sun. The company has proved itself to be timeless, intentional and thoughtful in the way they approach their product line and distribution.

As for the future of A Family Print Shop, “we’d love to add a few more products and get the word out about the existing products we already have,” Cutrona said.

As the saying goes, ‘Tis’ the season to be jolly…and shop from small businesses. In a materialistic society, communities and businesses thrive when we all take a moment to look at the big picture – no pun intended –  and give back.
