Luxury Fashion Does Exist in Denver

As a hotel property filled with stylish nods to the natural environment along with modern touches like a tequila locker program, the Hotel Clio offers an elevated experience for guests to immerse themselves in the upscale district of Denver’s Cherry Creek North. Now, the hotel is adding fashion to the list of its amenities with The Fifth Avenue Club Denver, an intimate styling experience and a unique take on shopping for luxury pieces.

As one of only 20 of The Fifth Avenue Clubs in the country, the 3rd floor suite is a fashion mecca fully equipped with personal stylists to help ensure that customers can leave with special pieces.

We caught up with personal stylist Hope Carroll to discuss the process of booking an appointment at the suite, what to expect during a styling appointment and of course the trends that are her ins and outs for 2025.

The Booking Process

Appointments are free and customers will pay for the merchandise that they buy. Reserving the suite can be done via email or by calling the suite. “The whole suite will be set up for you to shop it as if it’s like your own personal playground,” Carroll said.

Once you’ve chosen either a glass of prosecco or espresso provided during the appointment, your styling journey is ready to begin. When you arrive, everything on display in the suite was specifically chosen by your stylist and will cater to you in size, style, etc. If there are items needed outside of what is provided in the suite, Carroll can share a digital lookbook with the client after the appointment.

The suite is a resource for both men and women and is a spot for customers to regularly visit and refresh their wardrobe. In carrying brands like Chloé, Libertine, Jil Sander, Jacquemus, Oscar de la Renta, Jason Wu, Yves Saint Laurent and more, the experience is meant to offer an opportunity to build a luxury wardrobe with the help of a stylist.

“It’s meant to be curated and personalized,” said Carroll about the experience. “I like to say that I want to put confidence back in their closet.”

The Selection

Currently, one corner in the suite has a darling Libertine cardigan with roses, a stunning tweed blazer set that screams Chanel, Alaia red kitten heels and burgundy mini purses all fit for Valentine’s Day. Another rack displays tones of green like emerald, forest green, sage green and pistachio, spoiler alert, this is going to be a big spring color!

The Dries Van Noten plaid blazer with sequin arms stole the show, and Carroll showed us ways to style it as we threw out occasions to wear it. This blazer is a piece so fabulous that it could go with pretty much anything.

We also discussed Carroll’s spring fashion predictions, including a surge of pistachio green, studs on everything, leaning into boho chic and a resurgence of fringe, which is great news for Denver and our Western roots. She anticipates that flat shoes will continue to have their moment, especially as The Row brings back jelly flats. Flats are becoming the shoes where when it comes to styling them, anything goes – dresses, skirts, jeans and shorts – without the pain of a heel.

Carroll also expects to see rich colors this spring rather than the neons and pastels of the past. She loves to lean into monochromatic looks, especially cream as it brings elegance yet comfort and chic.

If Carroll’s on-par fashion predictions haven’t convinced you to book an appointment yet, check out her new styling account, @whatshewore___, where Carroll will document her process and continue to share looks and predictions.
