Originally born NEON WOLF in the Pleiades, KID ASTRONAUT and his band, The Nebula, crash-landed on Earth in 2015. To blend in, NEON WOLF adopted the alias Jon Shockness, while the other members of The Nebula took on their own human identities. Despite their efforts to stay undercover, their true origins were soon revealed.

We catch up with KID ASTRONAUT and his crew, who have just completed their spaceship and are ready to embark on a new mission: building a new universe. VOLUME 1. The Foundation

“What’s up, y’all? Thanks for joining us at THE HIVE. Today, my team and I have harnessed enough creative energy to start building a new universe—we’re calling it the Neon Universe. Since you’re here, would you like to help us create it? Great! Let’s head to our creative lab, where we’ll begin by outlining the basic structure of our universe. We’ll sketch out the foundational elements, like the cosmic canvas and the fundamental laws that will govern this new reality. I’ve prepared playlists that will set the tone for this brainstorming phase. These tracks are selected to spark imagination and inspire us as we lay the groundwork. Let’s dive in and dream big!”

VOLUME 2. Emergence

“Now that we’ve mapped out our plan, let’s move to the design tech and start crafting 3D models of the Universe. This is where we’ll introduce initial structures like galaxies, star systems, and planetary formations. We’ll work on visualizing and assembling these building blocks, using interactive tools to bring our vision to life. You’ll play a role in selecting and arranging these elements to ensure they fit our grand design. I’ve put together a playlist that reflects the diverse and dynamic nature of our creation, with a mix of genres to match our multidimensional vision.”

VOLUME 3. Evolution

“At this stage, we’re adding complex systems and life to our new universe. The key here is that LOVE needs to flow through everything, creating harmony and balance. We’ll imagine and design unique lifeforms, ecosystems, and interactions that bring our universe to life. Think of fantastical creatures and diverse environments—underwater bears, anyone? Your input will help us envision and integrate these elements. I’ve chosen a playlist that embodies the spirit of evolution and creativity, providing a soundtrack for this transformative phase.”

VOLUME 4. Awakening

 “In this phase, we’ll explore the rise of consciousness, the growth of civilizations, and the development of cultures within our universe. We’ll delve into how different beings interact, build societies, and evolve. This is where our universe starts to come alive with vibrant cultures and dynamic interactions. You’ll help shape the diverse beings and civilizations that will thrive in our universe. The playlist for this phase celebrates life, dance, joy, and the vibrancy of new beginnings, setting the mood for our exploration.”

VOLUME 5. Transcendence

“In the final phase before we launch our new dimension, we’ll explore the future of the NEON UNIVERSE. Imagine its evolution into new and refined states of existence, extending beyond what we can physically touch or experience. This phase is about leaving a legacy for future generations to build upon and expand. You’ll help us envision the long-term evolution of our universe. The playlist for this stage is designed to reflect the expansive and transcendent nature of our final creative process.”
