Art Hearts Fashion Unveils Trends at New York Fashion Week 2024

Art Hearts Fashion, a fashion design platform bringing runway shows to various cities, celebrated fashion and the designers behind couture brands during the New York Fashion Week show located at the Angel Orensanz Foundation on Saturday, September 7. The Lower East Side was alive and well with lingering fashion-forward groups littering the streets, many joining the audience to witness three designers focused on elevated fashion.

True femininity was on display for the first runway segment of the night with a warm-hued and desert-inspired collection from Atelier Ola Sol by Nadie Pereira. With silk and sequins as fabrics of choice, shape and texture took precedence along with movement that embodied a sunset over the dunes. This classy collection, paired with lip cuffs mimicking a medusa piercing, was meant for an occasion and exudes softness yet a sense of strength and luxury.

Against a black backdrop with “Dave.” written across the screen, the evening transformed into a setting meant to portray more darkness and wonder. Professional grunge is the best way to describe the looks from designer DAVE, with villainous undertones and an intentional use of striking accessories. The black and silver color palette mixed with texture left a daunting and underground essence of confidence and sexiness.

The evening took another turn with Carlos Pineda’s tiered traditional dresses as a nod to his Mexican heritage. The sexy yet sophisticated collection featured patterns and variations of gowns, as well as men’s looks where the models were barefoot and wore different types of cargo pants. Pineda experiments with ruffles, especially to elevate a garment and offer movement in a flattering and stunning way. The models didn’t just wear the dresses, they own them and brought their own flair to the runway showcase.

The crowd’s excitement lingered and the venue buzzed with anticipation as New York Fashion Week continued. By providing a range of designers the opportunity to showcase their collections on a prominent stage, Art Hearts Fashion is a catalyst in various cities for luxury and couture designers to put on a show.
