Colorado’s gloomy spring has come and gone. Here’s a list of weekend activities to escape (or embrace?) the heat and kick off July in Denver.

Friday, June 30

Denver’s 7th Annual Goth Ball

When: June 30, 8 p.m. – 2 a.m. 

Where: Reelworks Denver, 1399 35th St., Denver

The Deets: Denver’s Goth Ball is back for the 7th year. You can dress up in your best goth garb to dance the night away. Tickets can be purchased here.

Americana Weekend at Rare Bird Denver

Where: Halcyon, A Hotel in Cherry Creek, 245 Columbine St., Denver

The Deets: Take in a view of the city during Americana Weekend at Rare Bird. You can sip on cocktails, listen to live music and more at the rooftop bar in Cherry Creek.

Fan Expo Denver

When: June 30 – July 2

Where: Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th St., Denver

Dusty Boots

Where: Denver’s Civic Center Park, E. Colfax Ave and Bannock St., Denver

Death of Time Release Party

Relationsh*t

When: July 1, 8 – 9 p.m. 

Where: Chaos Bloom Theater, 70 S. Broadway, Denver

The Deets: Commemorate with others over the woes of dating during Relationsh*t. The comedic event explores the awkward experiences that you and others have experienced, all with an abundance of laughs from local comedians. The event is $10 at entry.

Cherry Creek Arts Festival

The Deets: The Cherry Creek Arts Festival returns for its 32nd year. For three days you can experience art from local and international exhibitors, listen to live music, snack on food and more, all while supporting CherryArts. Saturday Night Bazaar

Lucha Libre & Laughs: Pro-Wrestling and Stand-Up Comedy

Where: Ratio Overland, 2030 S. Cherokee St., Denver 

The Deets: Watch as masked pro wrestlers battle it out with live commentary from local comedians during Lucha Libre & Laughs. You can also grab a brew from Ratio Overland as you let out a giggle or two. The event is free to attend. 

Swingin’ Under the Stars

The Deets: Grab a dancing partner for Swingin’ Under the Stars. Little Man Ice Cream hosts the swing dancing night with live music from Dizzy With a Dame. You can learn some new moves and grab a scoop of ice cream to cool off after. The event is free to attend.
